Lenses belong to the most frequently made products of our workshop. We are able to make them from diameter of few mm to about 450 mm, which is limited by our grinding, edging and polishing machines. Edges of lenses are fine grinded by diamond instrument with high accuracy. We are using classical lens technology of grinding and polishing of spherical optical elements, but we can produce aspherical profiles of surfaces with departure of several µm from sphere as well.
Recently lenses are made mostly of glasses, crystalline materials, silica, germanium, Zerodur, Simax etc., but the development optical workshop disposes with more than 50 different sorts of glasses.
Surface accuracy is measured by Fisba spherointerferometer, classical interferometer or by calibrating glasses, which enable to obtain, very high repetability of manufactured products. Accuracy reaches λ/20 (λ = 632.8 nm) with Fisba interferometer, or λ/10 with calibrating glasses. We also posses high accurate contact space measuring machine for measurement of grinded surfaces. Accuracy of radii reaches to 0.001 mm in range from 0 mm to 100 mm, 0.05 mm in range to 1400 mm, and 0.1 mm to several meters.
Surface relief made by our pitch polishing technology is less than few nm, and we can provide the measurement of this parametr by our partners in Prague if it is required. Surfaces can be coated by layers according to request of customers, single or multiple antireflecting layers of MgF2, SiO2, TiO2, or another materials.
The working spectral range is from 0.18 µm to several µm. All the different lenses and lens systems are designed with respect to customer demands. Do not hesitate to contact us!
Lens systems:
Lens systems are composed of lenses and are used, where single lens wouldn't work well. We design and manufacture more than 20 different lens systems every year, for application in astronomy, nuclear physics, biology, industry etc. Our workshop provides service in optical designing and measurement uses Zemax, Oslo and other software machinery. In addition we are able to make very precise metal housing, sockets and holders of lenses and lens sets according the customer requirements.
